   I am totally pro-choice.
   Here’s the thing, most pro life people will admit that it’d the best or only option in some situations.
   Well, we can’t know everyones situation.
   And they aren’t going to sit there and think of every situation it would be okay in.
   So, in stead of making it illegal, they woman should have a choice.
   And think about this, when abortion was illegal, you know what they did? They got street abortions. Both the mother and child would often die in those, or the child would be harmed but not die, so, it’s like drug’s if you make it illegal now. Everybody knows about it, so they’ll take it to the streets. Should we really let them get abortions on the streets?
   And that crap about, “Oh, you could be killing the person that finds the cure for cancer.”
   You are much more likely to be getting rid of a murder or rapiest.
   And now let’s work on calling it murder, or killing, or whatever.

   I have this friend. When she was six years old she though it’d be fun to play with fire. So she let a match. It scared her and she threw it in her closet, and threw a blanket over it. Sometime later, the fire alarms started going off.
   She had an older sister that had been up stairs where the fire was. She heard her sister screaming and was going up stairs. Her mother ran out of the house and there was fire every where up the stairs, her dad grabbed her and ran out of the house.
   Her sister died that day.
   So, yes, technically my friend killed her sister. She burned her alive. But your not really going to call that murder, are you?
   So, there are some situations where, yes I guess you could technically say your getting rid of a life, and you killed som,eone, but thats ignorant to say.

   Also, as we all know and tell teens or kids to scare them from having sex, protection does not always work. So what happens when you protected yourself, but it didn’t work, and your not in a good point in your life to be having a child.
   So, what are you going to say ‘You can get an abortion if you used protection.”
   Uhm, people will lie, sweethearts.
   And crap about kiling it, again, are you a vegitarian? No? Shut up then.

   If you can’t have children, don’t trip about abortions, this is a wonderful chance for you to adopt a child. You can get a child out of a foster home, the migority of kids put up for adoption suffer from depression and the feeling of abandonment.
   And that also covers why adoption isn’t always an option.

   And saying “you could if you were raped” is so hippocritical.
   Thats like, all kids deserve a life unless there daddy was a rapiest. haha, thats so nice.

   For the religion aspect, God is all understanding, all knowing remember? He’d understand the situation.

   For the ‘theres so many people looking to adopt’;There are NOT enough people waiting to adopt!
   Why don’t you go tell all the foster kids around here? Or every other place in the world.

   If a teenage slut gets pregnant she should take responsibility, instead of killing something that could have potential and live, could you imagine if you didn’t get a chance to live just because you were a teenager who got pregnant.

   Pro-Choice. Non-denominational. I use SCIENCE rather than a fictional work of literature (aka the bible). SCIENCE has proven, time and time again, that abortions are not inhumane. Up until the formation of the central nervous system, the baby is literally a clump of parasitic flesh living off of the mother’s brain and heart. Also, there is no head-bashing involved like many Anti-Choicers will try and tell you; if the pregnancy is found viable, the baby is incubated and put into foster care.

   Another argument they love to bring up is the one for adoption. There are two interesting flaws in this argument: 1) at any given time there are over 500,000 kids in U.S. foster care alone with no hope of adoption. They somehow believe that there are hundreds of thousands of parents out there looking to adopt when there simply are not. 2) if they care so much about children why don’t they quit having biological babies and go adopt one of the 500,000 abandoned kids in the country? I’ll tell you why: because they are hypocritical and can only judge from AFAR. They’re too afraid to put their money where their mouths are and follow through with their own advice.

    I agree with you. Sometimes taking responsibility is an abortion! It’s better to save the life of that teen or unfit parent instead of raising a child into poverty or otherwise.
    Just because you can get pregnant doesn’t mean you should keep it! Girls from the age of 5 and up can get pregnant and give healthy birth!

    I’ve done multiple college research and debate papers on this topic, and interviewed PhD medical professionals on this:

    it’s an important medical procedure that removes a parasitic organism
    I feel there is NOTHING wrong with it no matter what the situation. It’s obviously a last choice option, which happens to be hundreds of dollars!
    Abortion is removing a parasitic organism. That’s it. If you think that’s “harsh” then just look up in a medical/scientific dictionary the definition of parasite and fetus and tell me how they differ.

    I find it funny when people say there are stipulations on abortion (i.e. rape, health issues). It’s the SAME damn procedure no matter HOW that fetus came to be!
    Also, what’s with the people who say “I can’t get an abortion because of my religion (Catholic)” ? They already disregarded their religion by having pre-marital sex to begin with! That’s just a cop out answer.
    People throw out the idea of adoption but they have NO IDEA about what REALLY happens to those kids. 7 out of 10 kids never get placed in a home. The majority of those that get placed in foster care get mistreated. 95% of adopted children wish they weren’t adopted and/or don’t appreciate their new home anyways. 70% of unwanted kids put up for adoption end up on the streets.

    I was a lucky kid and got adopted quickly and into a wealthy family. But there will NEVER be enough people willing or able to adopt all the MILLIONS of unwanted children in the world. You might as well prevent a bad situation than enable it.
    Also, there is always more questioning and doubt with adoption than abortion because with adoption the birth mother KNOWS her child is somewhere in the world, but with abortion there is only the question of “what if”

    I had an abortion and I challenge ANYONE to make me regret it or make me think it wasn’t the best choice I could have made!

    EDIT: kc, they do not do half of those things in abortion! they don’t give people abortions at 8 months unless there are some serious birth defects that could possibly kill the mother or child! and they certainly don’t suck out the brains! do some research.

    If I was to get raped, and gotten pregnant, why would I kill innocent little baby?
    Who cares if the dad was a drug addict, criminal, whatever he was, I am the mom, the baby is mine mine mine and I keep it.

    Guess what, I got pregnant at age fifteen. I never even thought of abortion, even though i had a miscarriage, it was the saddest thing that ever happened to me. Teens at times don’t know what they want, they don’t know what they are doing, and are scared, but a baby is beautiful regardless of what people say.
    I insanely have been trying to get pregnant again. It doesn’t happen.

    Please, being pro choice or even being OK with abortions is not good. Talking about religions, you should know its a sin.

    I agree. I am catholic too. I think if you were raped and you are very poor and the child was going to have an awful life because your not ready or soemthing like that, abortion is ok. I think having the baby if you are a teenage mom is good too, if you want it. Just as long as you get an education and are in a financially stable family. But if not, abortion is the answer. Also, adoption is bad because the kid will probably go looking for you when its older, but you will have already built your family, and then there is this other child that all of a sudden is there, and its not good.

    People make mistakes, no one is perfect, god made us that way so we would learn from our mistakes and try to help others in the same position, I am glad Kira kept her baby and don’t call her a “whore bag” because that is mean and rude and like you said “you don’t know their story” you don’t know hers so you can just stop talking

    A baby’s heart starts beating 18 days after being concieved, if you get an obortion at 3 months then that is stopping a human heart beat which IS MURDER, learn your facts before telling us that abortion isn’t murder, cuz it’s a lie and lieing is a sin, if you go to church.

    I am pro-choice. I would prefer that women/girls who didn’t want their baby would give it up for adoption, and I plan to support that by adopting kids when I am older, but everyone’s circumstances are different and everyone has their own reason for getting an abortion. They probably thought a lot about it and are not just using it as a form of birth control. Abortion is sometimes for the best because the child might have had a terrible life otherwise because his/her parents were incapable of properly caring for him/her. Abortion is not murder, because murder is done out of hate and is evil and terrible. Abortion is done in the best interest of the mother and the child, and the mother is not killing the baby just for the sake of killing it.

    First off how is abortion NOT murder? It has a beating heart. Some people get abortions at 25 weeks when it actually is a fetus (unborn baby/child). It doesn’t matter if they aren’t ready to have a baby, there are people (millions) who CANT have children and are willing to adopt them. Abortion is wrong, period. Do you even know how it’s done?

    At twelve weeks, this “fetus” has a heart beat, can cry, and it can definitely feel pain.

    -At sixteen weeks, salt poisoning is performed. The doctor injects a strong saline solution into the baby’s sac, causing the child to dry up. Within 24 hours, the mother goes into labor, and often, if the child is born alive, it is neglected and left to die. Rarely a child will miraculously survive and be given up for adoption.

    -At eighteen weeks, dilation and evacuation are performed. This procedure uses forceps to twist and tear the child’s bones until it is totally dismembered.

    -At six months, a time when many premature children are born and able to survive, the woman can have a Caesarean Section. Only, instead of gently removing the baby from the womb and bringing it into the world, the doctors cut the umbilical chord while the baby is still in the womb, causing it to suffocate.

    -Around thirty-two weeks, the child begins to dream, and from this point to birth, a woman can have a partial-birth abortion. In this method of abortion, the baby is pulled out of the birth canal feet first except for its head. The doctor jams scissors into the baby’s skull, opens them, and the child’s brains are then sucked out.

    If you have sex and get pregnant, it’s your fault for not being responsible. If you were raped, don’t kill the baby, its actually
    her baby too, just give it up for adoption. That is my opinion.

    I’m Catholic, but I’m pro-choice, for certain people, not everyone. I’m basically in the exact same place as you. I go to Catholic school, and the force so much information on us, they say that even if the mother’s health is at stake she should deliver the baby and then die. I think that’s disgustingly inaccurate and prejudiced. It is not murder, and I’m forced to believe it is. If people are just stupid and irresponsible, then they shouldn’t be allowed to have abortions. If a girl is raped or she can’t support the baby physically, then she should be able to get an abortion. Unfortunately, there are never going to be laws that could make such restrictions happen.

    I am also a strong believer in stem cell research. They can do unbelievable things with stem cells, and people like the ones at my school are the reason that research isn’t progressing very quickly.

    **Sorry if it’s long, but this is the only time I can voice my real opinion about this without being sent to the principal’s office.

    I wouldn’t be able to do it myself, but it’s up to you, and everyone has rights.Nobody can stop abortion happening, so I’d rather it would happen in the safest way, rather than a backstreet alley.
    I’m pro choice, but wouldn’t be able to kill my unborn child, even if I didn’t want the baby. Unless I was not able to look after my child, I couldn’t give it up for adoption, either.
    If you’ve been raped, and this is your rapists baby you’re carrying, I would understand why you wanted an abortion.

    I’m catholic too! but yea i’m against abortion…because how would you feel if that baby was you….or how would you feel if that baby could’ve turned out to be the first person to find the cure to science….If i got pregnant in high school…I think i would keep the baby…even if i’m in a program where if you get pregnant….you get kicked out…i would give the baby away to somebody i love and that’s in my family

    Fist of all, many people that are against abortion would never, ever put themselves into a situation in which they would need to consider having an abortion. If teenagers think that they’re mature enough to have unprotected intercourse at sixteen (of course they aren’t), then they are darn well mature enough to deal with the aftermath of their actions. Even if they are living in poverty or whatever or know that they would absoutely not make a good mother, there is always adoption. They wouldn’t even have to go through the adoption process, just leave the child at a hospital or fire station or something. Totally legal and anonymous. There are so many other alternatives after having an unwanted pregnancy that murdering a baby (who I believe has a soul right after conception) is the worst possible choice. I understand the argument of, “Well it is the woman’s body and her choice,” but now we have another body to think of and another’s choice to consider. Many people also regret terminating the life of their unborn babies due to the volume of “what if” scenarios. I am totally against abortion unless in the case of sexual assault or incest. **Please don’t thumbs down me if my views do not math yours because the question specifically asked for opinions. I am not thumbs downing any one else’s, either, because I realise abortion is an extremely touchy subject in which everyone’s opinion should be expressed.**

    I think that people shouldn’t be told what they can and can’t do with their bodies. I don’t care if I agree with something or not, I am not someone to tell someone else, like an adult what they can and can’t do with their bodies.

    I am not completely against abortions. I think after a certain point then they shouldn’t be allowed.

    But I would hate to have a kid now and be forced to give birth and raise one. I am nearly 20. If I want to be in a relationship and have sex that is my choice. I can use BC and condoms but if that for some reason failed then no way would I have a kid now. And I am old enough and not going to abstain from sex at this age. That is just ridiculous.
    And I don’t want kids till I am 30, should I abstain from sex till then?
    HELL NO.

    I am pro-choice/pro-abortion I say pro-abortion because I do believe lots of women should get abortions. Women who have aids should not have kids (you pass it on and your child will take meds for the rest of his/her life and how do you expect them to explain to a b/f-g/f they have aids but it is under control?) People who’s gene pool is not normal (no one should bear a child from your brother/father). Rapes. Financially unstable people. People who have disorders (mental). Unstable teens (I’m talking you live with your mom, you don’t have a job, you are oblivious that the 14yr old dad will not stay with you and so on…) Teens who expect there parents to watch their child because they haven’t had a chance to grow up yet. So many situations…

    I have not had one but if I was to get pregnant again it would be a consideration we cannot afford 2 children right now.

    But I agree with everyone that it should not be used as a method of birth control. Abortions aren’t free. My old room mate had one and she paid at least $300 for it. Someone would be better off having a child if they abort frequently. But that is why it is called abortion and not birth control. Plan b and other birth control options work if used properly. I swear to god people are just fucking dumb! If your dumb abort it. Anywho, there that’s my beliefs if people thumb me down they are morons.

    i’m pro life. okay, so if a girl gets pregnant, then is murdered with a kid, isn’t the murderer trialed for the death or her AND the kid. so why is abortion any different? and if the girl uses unprotected sex, then she knows there is a chance of getting pregnant. if she doesn’t want the kid, then just give it up for adoption, don’t kill it.
