You have every right to be concerned about your health when introducing foreign matter. But the risks involved are not exactly what you have been describing. There is a chance you are allergic to ink or certain types of ink and you may have a reaction after your tattoo, but it doesn’t go anywhere near deep enough to enter your blood stream.
You should be concerned about the cleanliness, sanitation, and knowledge of your tattoo artist and the shop. If you go to a shop that isn’t reputable, you run the risk of infection and disease from instruments that aren’t sterile. You should be able to see all the equipment and that everything is clean/sterile. Also you need to take proper care of your tattoo after you get it, your artist should provide you with detailed instructions (usually includes when to remove bandaging, recommended lotions to use, how often to moisturize, and to keep a fresh tattoo out of direct sunlight, pools, the ocean, etc.).
Hope that helps!
**oh also, the ‘epidermis’ is a medical term for your skin.

weeeelll…..
if your tattoo artist manages to get ink in your bloodstream so it messes up your organs, they are very stupid and need a slap.
As long as you keep the tattoo hydrated properly and take care of it (no scab picking!!!) then it will be absolutely fine. sounds gross, but nappy rash cream works wonders. keeps it moisturised, and its gentle enough for babys bums!
I have 2 ATM, 2 more to come at the weekend, and i have no regrets, f*$ked up organs or a dodgey epidermis.
if you want one, and this is all thats stopping you, dont let it !
